I'll say this for pricing -- it can help streamline certain aspects of a game. You realize quickly what parts of the game you want to leave in and what parts you should take out when issues of pricing come into play. I have a tendency to want to shove everything into a game, and for better or worse, pricing makes it so I can't.

Of course, expansions are a way around that if I have to leave out aspects that aren't necessary but are still wanted, but it's difficult for me to leave out parts of a game that I already had from the beginning only to add it in later.

I think pricing concerns are less a barrier and more of a creativity driver. If you want your game to cost x, you need to design the game to cost x. I feel way more creative when I'm operating under certain limitations.

Love it. The character tropes were indeed awful. I have seen better drama in a high school play. But the wonderful violence sort of makes up for it (kind of).

I find this hard actually. For this is where fun shades into sadness and sorrow. Their lives sound like they are out of control, and what about the children? I have lived a bit of this, and what they need to do, all three of them, is respect each other, and respect the fact that they are not alone any more. All I see here is suffering and sorrow. I would rather know that all of them are ok than see some kind of spectacle. I do hope, frankly, that she fell in love with the new man, but that the husband can stay supportive in some way. Children change everything....as they should. Not that we always do as well as we should, but we do need to find a way, a new way, one that respects their space too.
